In order to support an enterprise-wide solution, the company segmented its library of over 2,300 patient education titles into three important areas: In-Patient, Emergency Department, and Ambulatory Care. “Each area has a designated Editor-in-Chief who will be responsible for the clinical integrity of the information,” said Dr. Rick Redalen, CEO and CMO of ExitCare, LLC. “I am excited to announce that Dr. Merilee Karr joined our ExitCare Editorial Team.”

Merilee Karr, M.D. is the Editor-in-Chief, Ambulatory Care. She is a Board Certified Family Physician and has extensive experience in family medicine, including private practice at the Family Practice Clinic of Oregon City, Oregon, and HMO practice at Kaiser Permanente in Beaverton, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington. She attended the University of Rochester as an undergraduate (majoring in English), worked as a computer programmer, and then took pre-med classes at Harvard University's Extension School. She attended the University of Washington School of Medicine, and took her Family Practice Residency at Oregon Health Sciences University.
